My son caught this last week. We went out fishing before he went to school. It was awesome.

Most of us fish our whole life for a double digit bass and he catches one when hes just starting. Hes gonna have a hard time topping that one. Congrats!

This bass was actually a really awesome experience (not that they all aren't right?) My son, Hunter (who is thinking about changing his name to Fisher), was fishing a 6 inch worm. He caught a huge bluegill but it got caught on some sticks right above the water's surface. I told him to hold on and was trying to get the string unstuck from the sticks when the bass came up and tried to take half the bluegill. I told him to not reel and we watched the bass hit that bluegill about 4 more times. Then she came way out and took the whole bluegill! We waited about 3 seconds then set the hook and reeled her in. It was awesome. Now he just needs to shoot a 180 class buck and he'll be ruined for life with the outdoors

Awesome story! So Hunter learned a little lesson about live-lining, too! That is just so cool - tell him we all said congrats and that we'll expect him to make a run at the world record within his lifetime!
