While ice fishing on cold days the fish will freeze completely solid as a brick laying on the ice all day long. When I take them home and thaw them in the sink it is fairly common for them to start flopping around again. Someday I am going to freeze em up solid for a few hours and then see if they will actually live when thawed and placed back into water! This happened to me today. Fish frozen for at least three hours. Got them in the sink under some running water and they come to life. Kinda freaky the first time you see it.
