Who do you guys recommend.. I'm needing about 800-1000' of 5/8" self-sinking hose. If I can find a good deal on self-sinking I will run it all with sinking hose if not I'll have to use some cheap drip irrigation line and weight it down. So who's got the best prices?
I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease.. BG. CSBG. LMB. HSB. RES.

Nate Herman, N8LY, is close to you, or at least a fellow Illinois pondmeister, and a subscriber/contributor and a great guy. He will make you as good a deal as anyone. Give him a shot.
He comes your way several times a year, might even get him to deliver and do a little pond advising.

Cheapest I've ever seen the weighted tubing is $1.40 per foot. Maybe someone can provide it for less? I needed 700 feet which was too expenstive so I ended up using black irrigation pipe and came up with a nifty cheap weight system to hold it down. My system requires that you swim to the bottom and manually install the weight however. I simply made some dumb bell type weights using two soup cans filled with concrete that are tied together with an 8 inch piece of 3/8 re-rod. Punch holes in the side of 2 cans, stick the re-rod in each can to form a dumb bell, then fill each can with concrete. Lay one of these across teh line every 15 feet and it worked fine. You would need a bunch for 1000 feet of line but they are cheap. You can also just use cardboard tubing if you don't want the rusty steel cans in the water.
Gotta get back to fishin!
