I caught this CNBG yesterday on a Beatle Spin. I coudn't believe it!! These fish were just 4 inches in FEB. Now this one had to be real close to 8 inches. I have to admit BG this size fight pretty darn good!
The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!
Thanks guys, I bought my CNBG at fish hatchery here in Lonoke Arkansas. I bought 75 , 4 inch CNBG and it would appear they are doing pretty well!! MRHELLO I dont feed but I have more life in my pond that ever. I have minnows from a half inch to 4 inches. I have baby frogs everywhere, bugs on the water and all! I have CNBG, GSF, LMB and some RES but I have only seen a couple of my RES. My pond is 1 acre in size and I hope to plan to start aeration in July sometime. Thanks for asking!

Boy that is fast growth for a sunfish, it seems that most fish will grow very well if there is plenty of natural food, my trout hardly even touch the pellets cause of all the forage in the pond. Pretty soon those CNBG will be too big for even the LMB to bother.
I know it's crazy isn't it? That BG had to be close to 8 inches man I got to get a ruler in my tacklebox. I know it was a good 7.5 for sure! I was pretty stoked I hope that more of them made it. I guess I need to go fishing with some worms one day and see what I can catch. My biggest bass is only about 16 inches so I think that BG is safe.
