I noticed that on the local farm fertilizer suppliers' website that they have an evaporation/transpiration loss column on the daily weather conditions page. Even with the high humidity that we are seeing, the rate is averaging between 1/8" and 3/16" of water per day. No wonder my pond is dropping. That's an inch a week!

With our 100 degree days (early this year), I'm seeing 3 to 4 inches per week. No end in sight on the 100 degree stuff.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Dave, on the 3 to 4 inch drop per week is that about average no matter the size of the body of water? whether 1 acre or 5. Mike Laxton
