Illinois River silver carp jump out of the water after being disturbed by sounds of watercraft in early December of 2009. The Supreme Court decided on Monday April 26, 2010 not to get involved in a dispute over how to prevent Asian carp from making their way into the Great Lakes. The justices turned down a new request from Michigan to consider ordering permanent closure of Chicago-area shipping locks to prevent the invasive fish from threatening the Great Lakes. A picture is worth a thousand words, or a thousand carp in this case.
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

You might need a shotgun as opposed to a bow.

Some of the upper crust Chicago restaurants are using them for some type of appetizer or something. The kinda places that Sunil could afford to eat at.

You might need a shotgun as opposed to a bow. Or a Gatling Gun!

. . . and a commercial or game fisherman's nightmare! It seems like some smart entrepreneur should be able to find a profitable use for using massive quantities of these nasties -- fertilizer, fish pellets, cat food, fake walleye fillets . . .

You're not the only one that has said this Ken. Here was a response on a list serve I'm on of fish farmers: I don't understand why commercial fishermen can't be given a financial incentive to hammer those populations. It would seem they are easy to find. Only $3 million of the $78 million in emergency funding is dedicated to harvest.
