I was at the local Alco store today and asked the cashier if paying with a 50 dollar bill would be O.K. She said yes and I jokingly commented, "You better get the pen out and check to see it's not counterfeit." She replied, "That doesn't always work. We got a counterfeit 50 in recently that had another president's face on it." "You're kidding me," I jokingly replied, "What president's face was on it Obama's?" She said, "No it was Lincoln."
Wouldn't you have try and do something like that vs. just copy a bill? Man is that stupid!

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Ceicil, My brother gave a clerk a $20 dollar bill at a convenience store and she ran a pen over it and it said it was bogus. The cops came and he had a lot of problems until the cops called a fed guy and he said yeah those pens don't work on some of the new bills. Man he went through hell before they quit looking at him and got his 20 bucks back.
In Dog Beers, I've had one.

CB, it was most likely a five with "50" pasted on the corners.

My wife used to work at a bank and said often the new folks would be dumbfounded when they would get in a 2 dollar bill. I would have her save them as well as silver certificates. Got some of each in a safe deposit box.

I used to work at a gas station got a hundred one night best counterfeit ever, everything was there. The pen said legit, had the right president, had the holographic stuff, but something didnt look right it looked yellowish. Held it up to the light (now the only real way to tell if it is fake cause of a line that goes top to bottom not seen otherwise) the line was there too! but if you hold one up to the light the fat outer perimeter lines on front and back will line up this one didn't. looked like when you trace something then move it over just a touch and its like doubled. Crazy and stupid what people do.
