The pond is about 3/4 full. It really needs some habitat. Is there any advise on how to get habitat down there?

What kind of structure were you wanting? If it's 3/4 full, I'd imagine the best thing you can do is get out there on a boat or a floating platform and drop them from there. I think a lot of people set their structure on ice and when that melts it sinks that way. I wonder if there is a way to drop them slowly with a line. How deep is it?

theo how is your habitat working and what has been your most successful habitat? I like the natural wood and rock type habitat but really get tired of getting hung in it. I am thinking of doing some type of pvc habitat next in order to try and lure some crappie into an area I can catch them without getting hung every two seconds. Who has both natural and the unnatural types of habitat and what is the good and bad of both?

I love it when I get to recycle some of my work.

Robby is alive and well and resting on his side next to a couple of tires structures. The three of them are the chief fish and lure attractors in my big pond. I am thinking of adding a couple of PVC pipe bushes (built into old 5 gallon buckets with lids) next to them when I have time

In the small pond, the underwater island has been DYNAMITE for fishing this Summer. Stumps, logs, and rocks in the SMB bedding areas are good too, but cause snags.

Have any clients noticed you scratched out the "8" on last year's tax returns and pencilled in a "9" for this year?

I use a computer to change the 8s to a 9.

O.K. so what you are saying is that it attracts fish but is also a snag for your lures and in the future would try to do more of the snagless pvc type habitat?

PVC for fish attractors.

Sticks and stones for SMB habitat that also serves to attract.

PVC is easier to add after the fact as well.
