I see this on about 25 BG around my feeder. Out of the 25 its mostly on the new CNBG that I stocked in the spring but it is also on my natives. It looks like white gel or maybe a thick fuzz growing on the fin tips of the fish and is sometimes growing of the sides of the fish. Its not a whole lot but is definitly noticeable. Is this some type of fungus maybe?

Yes, it is a fungus. I just caught some wild PS and RES from a local river to put in my aquarium. They got a little beat up in the process and some of them are showing some fungal growth. A little salt solved the problem. In the case of your fish, if they are feeding OK, they should win the battle with the fungus and be OK IMO.

Additionally the less extensive the fungus the more likely the fish will survive.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
