Has anyone stocked any blue-channel cross hybrids? If so what are your thoughts on this fish.

I grew some of them back in the mid-80's. They were fast growing, aggressive fish that didn't dedicate much effort to egg production, since they were hybrids. Back then, several big catfish farms tried these fish as production fish, but as fast as they grew in the first year, the second year wasn't as good as channel catfish. I carried some into the third year, and they grew really well. But, by then, commercial producers had pretty well stopped producing the fingerlings. They just weren't commercially viable for the bigger farms.
Teach a man to grow fish... He can teach to catch fish...
