That's a lot of cases, particularly in my neck of the woods. But maybe to be expected given how large the deer population has grown... not many predators beyond cars. Guess I'll continue to take precautions.

CDC on Dog Bites says "Each year, 800,000 Americans seek medical attention for dog bites; half of these are children. Of those injured, 386,000 require treatment in an emergency department and about a dozen die."
