After hearing a few weeks ago about my incredibly high stress levels, James Holt and his lovely wife Pam invited my family and I to visit them.

We accepted. \:\)

AND we were treated like royalty by the entire Holt family. We are so thankful for their hospitality.

James was concerned about the weather. A DOUBLE cold front came through the evening we arrived, and the following morning dawned with a wind chill of 8 degrees! Not exactly your typical North Texas weather this time of year. Temps and winds both in the 30's. James did however assure me that nobody has ever gotten skunked at his pond.

He was definitely right. \:D

Here's James, above with one of his amazing largemouth bass. We caught over a dozen of these piggies. Every one of them with a very high relative weight. I wish I would have gotten more pictures of some of them because I think their Wr's might have pushed 150 on a couple of them, but when your thumbs aren't functioning, your desire to hold and shoot a camera is diminished.

Here's me below with one of James' big hybrids. Just incredible.

My family and I just want to say thanks again to the Holts for treating us so well for the weekend. We can't wait to see you guys again.

Awesome pics, Bruce! Awesome place, James!

Bruce must've brought the weather from NE with him. Way to represent with southern hospitality and good fishing, James.

How big is the pond? To support that many quality fish, it's gotta be pretty decent sized...

Awesome!

I'm glad different Dentists wear different camo patterns so we can tell them apart. If it was all great smiles and shades, it would be difficult.

Again, I'm jealous. That water looks great. For some reason I always notice the water in these pictures. This summer I have got to get serious about my water quality.

Great Fish!! Thanks for posting!! Any guesses on weight of that HSB? George Glazener has been trying to encourage folks to file the private water HSB record with TPWD. That one looks like it would have qualified, but then again, who cares when its that frigid!!

You see how Dr. Holt holds those fish by the bottom jaw? He does me the same way in the dentist chair. It's painful at first, but a little N2O goes a long ways. The minnow taste takes a couple of days to get rid of though. George

Just be glad he was not handling catfish bait like stinky blood cheese or greasy GShad just before you went in the chair.

I have too high a Wr to be handled by the bottom jaw...kinda like a big 'ol sow bass.
