If you're warm enough why bother with F1's, and why not just go with Florida strain bass? They seem to be doing pretty good in some of the reservoirs in California.

An actual state would help us even more to locate a hacthery for you. Fed Exing even fry has it's negatives. Sometimes survival is not that good.
