The GSA is please to announce the we have ordered a new GSA corporate vehicle. Rush hour traffic has never been so much fun. We are currently accepting donations for bullets.

Makes me glad I already drive a GMC! Pickup, though.
The way ammo has risen in price, you could break the bank feeding a machine like that. I'd sure like to try it out.

Can we figure out a cost/hr for ammo? If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

30,000 rounds a minute x 60 minutes= 1.8 million rounds per hour
1.8 million x $.25/round= $450,000/hr
I bet the rounds are a minimum of $.25, probably more.

Young Man, you need to figure in the recycling value of the brass reclaimed, with a deduction for scratch and dent repair where ejection messes up the paint job.

I am not at all fazed by the minigun. You'll never get that sucker past CARB.
What's more concerning to me is the migration of truly knowledgeable individuals such as Shawn Banks to the cause of the green sunfish. I mean, I can understand such a gravitation in the naive and impressionable, or those who will grasp any passing fad....but in an eminent and experienced scientist?
Maybe it has nothing to do with the green sunfish itself. Perhaps it is a desire to belong, to be part of a greater whole, a single organism joining with fellow creatures against the vagaries of the cosmos?

This is occasionally true. However, incontinence and senility are more frequent accompaniements. It will take more than this trite morsel to convince me of the righteousness of the cause.

None other than the esteemed Greg Grimes made an off the cuff comment to me at PB conf. 08 that MAYBE green sunfish would be a choice for bluegill predator in a small pond. This, instead of being overrun by runt lmb. Of course, it was shortly after the standup salute by the Pres. of GSA. GSF as predator for BG. Talk about rape, pillage, then eat.

That's actually quite interesting, I have a ~1/6 acre pond on a neighbor's place that was full of gsf to which about 1000 small bg were added about 18 mos ago. I haven't been back to it since the bg were added; got busy with the smb/yp/bg pond which finally filled up.
The pond had lots of stunted gsf in the 2-4" range, some up to about 8". Might be interesting to seine it this spring.
Of course, it's just a GSF pond... a stick or two of dynamite might be a quicker way to sample.

Yolk, Yolk, Yolk, You sir are living in denial. Some of the finest minds in pond meisterdom are realizing that the almighty GSF is truly an asset to most any pond. None other than Bill Cody discussed their benefits at the 2008 Pond Boss Conference. Shawn Banks is on board. Bob Lusk has be very complimentary in regards to GSF. An article appeared in ESPN that discusses catching GSF. Come into the light my friend. You need not live in the dark ages. I know that it is sometimes difficult to set your prejudices aside and embrace the truth. Be strong and face reality, you'll be better for it. Besides it's tax season and I'm too busy to hunt you down right now.

I love the GSF. They are a lot more colorful than the pasty looking BG. They only spawn yearly so can be well understood by anyone who has ever had to pay child support.
Tie a GSF and BG tail to tail and the greenie would pull the BG all around the pond.
