Frank, I agree about some eatin fish. However, at $10 per pound for the initial stocking, I think it is a fairly expensive way to get some groceries. Anyway, I haven't seen many that were easy to scoop up. Anybody else have a different story?

Regarding channel cats: I wouldn't PERSONALLY have a pond without them. On the other hand, they become top predators after reaching 2 pounds and are pretty hard to eliminate. Bigger ones can get pretty hook shy.
