i went to the fish hatchery in warm springs ga today. it is open to the public. they have a few concrete ponds that are really clear for kids to see and feed the fish. one of the small dirt ponds is shallow and very clear with decks and walkways over the water. we saw several nice bass and bg in it so we decided to get some pellets and feed them. the lmb would tear the pellets up. i hope mine in my pond get to that point. really fun to watch them.

My bass apparently got desperate this year -- or, as Cecil suggested, they learned from last winter's trout. Anyway, a bunch of my bass decided to join the bluegill and catfish during the evening enjoyment of pellet eating. Good luck. Report back regularly.

Over the last 3 years, 30-40 LMB in my pond have learned to eat pellets.
