After consulting with some of the PM's (Pond Meister's) here on the forum I have chosen Purina's Game Fish Chow as the feed I will use. As some of you know I bought the property back in November. The pond is 4.5 acres and was done in 1990 and the owners told me they stocked it with Channel Catfish, Bluegill (possibly hybrids), White and Black Crappie, and there are plenty of Largemouth Bass.
Going to start out just feeding from 2 piers on either side of the pond. The piers extend out into the pond and the water is a little over 10 feet at the end of the piers. The fish have been fed in the past, although most likely irregularly, but I did witness a few feedings when we were looking at the property and the fish fed well. The person feeding through out too much feed though at a time. I am going to speak with him and tell him as of March I am going to start feeding the fish everyday at a certain time in the afternoon.

Good choice, eric.
As you probably know, Purina is not always the cheapest brand when it comes to fish food, but I think it is the best.
Please keep us updated on how it's going.

I was beginning to wonder if anyone was interested. I will take pictures during the "feeding frenzy" and post up.

If sporadic feeding had good activity, consistant feeding should really get attendence and results.

eric Don't make my mistake and OVER feed at first. Just a little on a regular basis will work for the first month. The "observation" aspect is what I enjoy most of all now.

That's how I'm going to start as well, just a bucket, my hands, and maybe something to sling some out if I'm in a hurry. But I'm going to do it at the same place and time every afternoon. Maybe later when I won't be around every day to feed them at the same time we'll look into a feeder, but for now, I'm with Eric, the old fashioned way!
20 yr. old 3/4 Acre Pond in Central Louisiana, maybe 6'-7' deep average, 10'-12' deepest. Long ago stocked with BG and LMB. Pond is now overpopulated and muddy, fishing isn't near as good as it once was. Any input appreciated.
