We had a 1 acre pond, covered with spirogyra after a herbicide application for arrowhead and primrose. Stocked 20 lbs tilapia then 20 of my best florida bass fingerlings in June. Filamentous algae was was gone in 2 months, bottom is sand, raised 900 lbs tilapia. I don't claim anything other that what I've seen.
