It was about 11-6 when I left just a few minutes ago to run to the store.
I come back and it's 40-12! That's a (roughly) 29-6 run. Amazing! What happened???
Luckily I'm on the far north side of SA...wouldn't want to be anywhere near downtown right now.

I'm really not a fan of either. That did get close there for a while. Predictions for the winner: Kansas by 6 Randy

I don't think the Huskers have any chance in the final.
They never do...

Wow, KU did it and won the national championship!
That was quite a game.
I'm pleased Kansas won, got tired of the tv announcer that seemed to be rooting for Memphis.

I'm a MU fan, so it was bitter sweet to see KU win. I wanted them to win, but at the same time I would have rather seen a different team there. hehe
Self coached a solid game at the end. Memphis needs to learn how to shoot at the line though.

All the sports "experts" finally got one right - Memphis's poor foul shooting did them in.

KU's win marks only the second NCAA basketball national title for the Big XII.
The first? My alma mater in women's basketball in 2005. The Big XII needs to step it up and build on this momentum.

rmedgar: The experts got it right but also got it wrong. They kept harping on Memphis's poor foul shooting which was excellent until this game, but to an analyst everyone I saw felt Memphis would win.

D that is probably measuring from the start of the Big XII. Kansas has won in the past. Not sure of others.

Yes, it is measuring from the start of the Big XII. Kansas has won either 4 or 5 national titles altogether, I believe.
I think the Big XII has been around since 1996.

I think the Big XII has been around since 1996. ... created by school officials who foolishly thought adding teams to a number-named league required a new name.

Well at least folks in Big XII can count...even if it requires 2 toes to do so. Big 10 folks apparently have no concept of the number 11.

I think this was Kansas' third national title in their history.
