Tom, the way I figure is that if I can't control (seine) it, it's of limited use. My forage pond is an old cattle stock watering tank of about 1/8 acre. However, it's about 6 ft. deep. When I do seine, most of the larger fish just swim to deeper water and escape. I get an awful lot of one inch BG and CNBG that seldom survive the stress. I wouldn't go over about 4 ft. deep.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
