I've been looking at the used Gast 0523 pumps on EBay and trying to decide what to bid on. There are lots of choices. Can anyone enlighten me as to any practical significance to the numbers after the 0523? Such as age, manufacturing location, decibel level, etc. Any help with making me (and maybe others) a more informed buyer would be much appreciated.

Post 0523 numbers deal with specific items of the compressor such as voltage requirement, stock availablity, etc. I think the 101Q designates a quite running model and head type. I THINK G numbers deal with voltage and motor items. S is stock availability item. I have only sold the 0523-101Q-G582DX and 0523-101Q-SG588DX. If you contact Gast directly by email or phone some one in the technical department can give you all the specifics. Gast's website is: http://www.gastmfg.com/
