I recently had the water in my pond analyzed. They sent me the hard numbers but didn't interpret them for me in any way. Can anyone help me out and tell me if there are any possible problems with the numbers?

I got in touch with a PhD at Texas A&M and he recommended that I add non-iodized salt and lime the pond, as the chloride, hardness and alkalinity levels were a bit low.

That is kind of odd. The two I had them do for my ponds in LaGrange had more info, as in, good, bad, acceptable. Where is your pond, I live in Houston as well.

It's actually a small retention pond in the neighborhood I live in. It's around 290 and 610.

It has a bunch of crawfish & frogs, and I stocked it with some CC in the spring, they seem to be doing well so far. I just got the water checked out because I was curious, and we'd been having some filamentous algae problems recently.
