We just recieved our fish on Monday in our new pond. 150 CC 10-12" 150 CC 6-8" and 175 4-5" BG. I started feeding them by hand on Tuesday. What would be the right way to feed these fish. Any advice would be helpful. I don't want to put too much out. They just aint coming up eating like I thought they would. It may be a matter of them finding out what time I'll be feeding. Not really sure. Just wanting to do the right thing. Any advice would be appreciated.

One of the pros will be around to help you out soon. How bigs the pond? Do a search for fish feeders on the net.

An automatic feeder is the way to go.. They say you don't wanna put out more food that can be eaten in 15 minutes. Feeding needs to be consistent same time same place for best results..
I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease.. BG. CSBG. LMB. HSB. RES.

I've fed these fish the last two days. I'm probably giving them too much. When I went to the pond yesterday there was fish in the water up on the bank.

What are the water temps in your area. Fish do not feed as well in cool water. Those big CC are gona eat up your BG you should prob add more BG.

When they get acclimated to the pond, they should start coming to feed. Sometimes it takes awhile. What kind of feed are you using?
Fish in the water up on the bank?

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Up on the bank OUT of the water would make me think this is a very new pond with a lot of waste feed and other organics decaying creating very high ammonia levels in the water....fish will jump out of the water due to ammonia poisoning.....at the edges of the water along the bank could indicate lowering oxygen levels and the fish are congregating where the wind/wave action oxygenates the water...did you notice any fish "piping" in the pond?....again, this could be from organics decay and over-feeding consuming the oxygen.
