I just subscribed to Pond Boss a couple of months ago and am over whelmed with the amount of info in this forum. My buddy and I just had a 1.5 acre pond dug and are in the process of setting structure and just finished the dock. Our goals are to have a place for the kids to go and catch Bluegill and us to catch Largemouth. We would also love it if ducks and geese would find their way into our decoy spread. I was going to add pics og the pond but I'm not smart enough to figure out how to get the pics from "my pictures" to this post, so I will have to wait until my wife can show me how to do it.

Hello Kyle1980 and welcome to Pond Boss. You have come to the right place for all things pond related.

Welcome to the forum Kyle!! What city are you in/near? Any thoughts on your fish stocking plan and source yet?

I am by Webb City, which is right next to Joplin. I've got the Missouri Pond Handbook and been talking to the local fish bioligist about the number of each fish to stock. The only place that I know of to purchase fish is Arkansas Pond Stockers. I talked them briefly but it's going to be a while before there is enough water in the pond to stock it. if you know of any other company in this area please let me know.

If you have a foot or more in your pond, you can and should stock at least Fathead Minnows this time of year.
My pond is near Houston/Cabool and is also 1.5 acres. I stocked when I had only 4 feet of water in the basin....full pool is a depth of 25 feet.

Sure Tracy. I'd start a new thread introducing yourself.
