I have seen references in this forum about using "catfish traps" to get rid of accidental catfish. Any plans? Effectiveness?

these look very easy to make for me. Any reason I could not just use a 50 gallon plastic drum? (buying the tapered inlet)

HSB: Hybrid Striped Bass.

Neat, really neat wooden traps.

Hybrid Striped Bass = White Bass x Striped Bass

Anytime we lose you with an acronym, see the Acronym thread in the Archives . Then, when it's not there, you can yell at me that I need to add it.

thanks!
I am BG, RE, and the top of the food chain, other than the occasional bird...Crappie. Is there any issues with tht mix and the traps?

Also,
what about my idea of using plastic drums with the inlets purchased from the source provided?

I've used that trap, and it works well. HSB also fall victim to it.
