Okay. Tonight had about the same results as last night. Except we did catch 1 bass 6.5 inches. I will post some pictures later of some of our catch. Caught a nice HBG coming in at 9 in. Anyway, still wondering how I can improve on my BG population getting them to 10 in. Catching several 7 inchers. Like I said, I can post some pictures later and you guys can let me know how they look. I'm just trying to learn as much as I can involving my pond and get the genetics that I want. Thanks in advance. Here are a couple of pictures from Friday Night.

First pic is of a Hybrid Bluegill
2nd pic is of a Largemouth
3rd pic is of a Green Sunfish
4th pic is of a Northern Male Bluegill.

The Bluegills would get larger if you had them on a feeding program, of if you do have a feeding program in place, feed more frequently if they are consuming all the food in 15 minutes.

What is interesting and is a pretty visual display is the mouth gape of the HBG, GSH and LMB. Pay attention to the length of each fish, and the size of their mouth. That's why it's said that GSF and to an extent HBG compete with LMB for food until about 8"-9" in length. Then the LMB can eat larger food.
