When I went to Home Depot today I got an idea. Has anyone ever taken a two shopping carts and removed the basket areas. Then tied the two open ends together, thus creating a sizeble area for fatheads or other young fish to go in and be protected? A couple of these structures together could make a nice shelter.......thoughts?

I think Brettski made something similar with snow fence. I bet milk crates would work good too.

I figured with the cart basket it would be a bigger area for the young ones to hang out....I'm kinda eager to try it.

That's a new one for me. I bet it would work well. We just need to go borrow some shopping carts.

I would definatley just borrow them and give them back when I'm done.....

Oh definitely. Pondbossers wouldn't steal. I chose the word "borrow" very carefully, and I know you would too...

Good idea. I've thought about that before. Especially when driving along and seeing an 'abandoned' shopping cart that 'strayed' away from a store. The way stores are closing up you should be able to find them a lot easier.
