I've caught two eight pounders and many 5's and 6's in my life and this one was definitely bigger than 8. I didn't have scales with me that day and had a friend of mine with me that influenced me in the wrong way, (by telling me that the fish wasn't over 8 lbs and to throw it back). So i threw it back without weighing it and it's killing me to know what i threw back.. Please help me out here???
Welcome to PB! Unfortunately I can't see the pics because I'm not registered on facebook.
try it now
thanks for the warm welcome!!
Close to 10lbs if not over, in my guess-timation!

Welcome to Pond Boss!
I'm with Sunil. A double digit LMB.
Definitely a double digit bass, I am guessing pushing 12 pounds even with the long arm technique.
yeah i didnt wanna take the picture like that.. i dont like to embellish.. but my buddy insisted.. then i get home and start kicking myself as soon as my dad looks at it and says i was crazy for throwing this monster back!
Go catch it again!
FWIW: There are some up sides to putting it back. A friend had a double digit bass in his pond. Although I never caught it, it added excitement to know it was in there. Mounts cost $ and the fish won't grow on your wall. You must have a real nice fishing spot!

FWIW: I know the father of someone who caught, in a relatively small public lake, and released a LMB that easily exceeded our state record. He simply fishes for personal satisfaction and didn't care about having a record. Something kind of neat about that.
I agree; really neat.
