Looks easy to build but I expect the wind would be a problem.

I like it.

Isn't that one of those redneck boats? LOL

I have a pier that goes all the way across the pond in the center. I can cast anywhere in the pond from it. Even makes seining easier too.

Those barrels are cleverly disguised. They are actually beer kegs.

A beer keg pontoon boat? One of those might be unsinkable grin

We shouldn't be be giving Bullhead any ideas for a new pond boat. laugh

Mine never come out although at some point I'm going to add wheels to my small ones in the fry production ponds to remove them for seining.

What the heck you fishin for???? Marlins??? Some big set up there. Hey you that guy on that extreme fishing show???

Mark, I've told George about this story. When I was a kid, the only fishing mags we saw were about trout and smallmouth fishing. You might say they were up North yankeefied. And the trout fisherman always looked suspiciously like Bing Crosby. He had a sport coat, fedora, a pipe in his mouth, holding a fly rod and a 10 inch trout. Or sometimes he was fishing for the "gamest fish that lives"; the smallmouth.

I, on the other hand, was a farm/ranch kid from Muleshoe Texas who occasionally got to fish for bullheads in ponds. Sometimes, we went to New Mexico and camped out to trotline. Instead of the trout fisherman attire, we bailed into the water(no boat) to set trotlines in overalls and bare feet. We wanted big cats and they weren't going to be released to fight another day.

The difference was glaring. I didn't figure the gentleman with the fedora was good for much but posing for pictures. In other words, the user of a sissy stick from a world that I couldn't relate to and never figured to see.

Ya know, thanks to lessons from TJ and George, I have gotten a little bit adept with my 3 sissy sticks.

Puddle Duck is a Class boat and makes a great pond boat.

Here is a 4 by 8 foot plywood, cheap, quick, stable, safe and easy to build versatile and virtually unsinkable boat anyone can build and a good pond boat. Some guys have build this in a day or two using only nails and glue. I spent more time with screws and fiberlgassed/epoxied the seams since I was going to attend a 200 mile sail in the Gulf of Mex. For safety the boats have either three water tight champers two in front and one in back or visa versa. The other type as mine has a chamber on each side the length of the boat and the beauty of this is doing a capsize the boat won't take on any water because the sides are held higher while on it's side then the water level. Also with water tight hatches you can hold a load of equipment in completely dry conditions. Painting is a snap with exterior latex house paint and roller. The tent could be setup with the rigging in place for sleeping on the water.
