Well, Gents (and a few lovely ladies), our new baby boy came out yesterday at 14:15 (8/31/06).

At 22", he was 10lbs, 2oz. That's the first double digit catch for me (besides some Steelhead). Couldn't have grown him without all the help from y'all here at Pond Boss.

Vicki and the boy are all doing fine.

He hasn't been given a first name yet, but we'll get that taken care of later today.

Just stopping at home to take care of a few things; everyone comes home tomorrow.

Cheeers!

A tremendous gift and blessing . \:\)

That makes 2 PB boys in a row (you and Greg).

If you can do as well by him as you have with your SMB you will have done very well. Strong , smart and principled. \:D

Congrats to you and family Sunil,

if you take the kids to pond, what do you think will happen? will they get schooled proper by the smallies, or might they learn that denigrating smallie trash talk at such an early age?......do be careful \:D

We will have to get the boys together in about three yrs for a fishing trip, got a small heads start of about 10 wks. Congrats and get ready for some fun. Just today he discovered his foot, went right in the mouth. Great job Mama 10 lbs is a huge baby by todays standards, football player?

Congrats to mom and you, surely your best catch since Vicky. Bing is correct and it will happen before you want it to.

It's not well known, but Sunil was the starting left tackle for the Steelers during the mid-eighties. He used his signing bonus to buy his pond. Sunil currently makes the rounds on the motivational speaking circuit and has all plastic joints.

Ahh, yes - the "Sunil Curtain" years.

I remember well, he was having a Hall of Fame carreer until Bradshaw mistakenly put his hands under Sunil's butt instead of Websters!!!

I thought if you read some of Sunil's posts that the post-concussion syndrome was pretty evident.

Thank you, Friends, for all the kind words.

While we've been home since Saturday, I haven't had much time to surf (go figure!).

We've named him Deven James Ramchandran. Sure we thought about Lusk as a middle name, but....

Still haven't quite figured out the new routine yet. I have to see how I can get to my pond sometime this week. My brother, Sid, got out yesterday and caught a smallie and a few 2.5lb HSBs on a black wooley bugger fly.

Thanks again.

Howdy, DJ! This is your Uncle Theo.

Other than what he says about me, you can always believe what your Daddy tells you.

Here is the new routine. Others feel free to add on words of wisdom.

He deserves your best -- When he leaves you don't want to ever face the question "Did I do my best for him".

Raise them right -- You owe the world kids who will make it a better place.

Start saving for them now. It means a better opportunity for them later.

They will listen to you even if you don't think so at the time - your 2 cents matters.

Be a living example of character and principal - How you live makes all the difference.

Never give up on them - God didn't and you should not either.

Sacrifice is your new name - you are the direct cause of them being here so you are now at the bottom of the list - kids and spouse come first.

Boy Eric, you're being kind of rough on Sunil.

"Watch your mouth. Everything you can and will be repeated by your children when you least want it to."

I will prove this point at the convention by explaining what kind of cows we have, in my daughter's words at age 3.

Dave :

I hope Sunil doesn't think so. I know he will be a great Dad for DJ. I just wanted to give him a few things to think about while he is half asleep on those every 2 hour feedings at 3 am or when DJ does exactly what he was told not to do. \:D

Sunil has my number if he needs to call.

WRT others (not Sunil) the fact is that we don't have large numbers of bad kids ,we have some, and a lot of parents who don't live up to their responsibility.

"They will listen to you even if you don't think so at the time - your 2 cents matters." My younger son still reminds me of when he always wanted to fill the glass all the way to the top with milk after putting in 2 spoons of powdered choc. milk. I tried to teach him to put in a little milk and stir it up first. Funny how they remember...and cause you to remember.
