NICE.

We have a pontoon paddle boat by Paddle King and really like it. Very stable even walking around on the deck.

Congrats. Does this model have a built in cooler or a kegerator? smile

What kind is it?

Well I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I will customize it slightly this winter, like lights for night fishing, but what a great product. IME with the boat and one weekend...easy to maneuver, stability is excellent, and overall solid craftsmanship. Not one piece of wood with the exception of the seat bottoms.

Pond King out of Texas. You got my endorsement!

Let's get it dirty and fish a little. First trip out, 32 BCP and 8 BH hit the live well.

I love these things. I wish the shipping wasn't so high to VA. How long did it take you to get it after you ordered it? Congrats!

Nice boat- details on first catch, how big were the BCP?
Posted By: mnfish Re: New Pond Boat - 05/18/15 02:36 AM
Nothing special about the catch. 8-9" BCP. Slow fishing but I sure was comfortable.

That sure would look good on my pond!! Hint hint
Nice fish can't wait for my ist gen to get to that size and up.

I was looking at several models of mini-pontoons the other day. I REALLY liked the Pond King in-deck storage option. Speaking of in-deck storage, I found these on Craigslist today.

But I digress. Most mini pontoons use small diameter floats instead of standard diameter, putting the deck closer to the water line. Pond King seemed to be a little bit more raised up which might not be ideal for fishing. Any opinions on the height?

Really liked the sized pontoons. Of all the minni pontoons I looked at this was by far the most thought out for my design requirements

I go by Pond King quite often. I know better than to stop.

I saw these two custom pontoon boats on Atlanta CL, looks interesting.

Zep: we'be had one on the hot woods boats for probably 5 or 6 years.

I do believe that the four smaller pontoons, put you closer to the water (possibly slightly less affected by wind, draft much less than large double pontoons allowing you to go in much shallower water and offer more capacity / stability for size. I wish it had "wings or ramps or something welded to front bottom of pontoons to help it get up on plane easier and more importantly to keep the front end from diving when going fast with outboard and heavy load.

Doing it again, we would also not order it with the built in battery compartments.

Looks like a nice boat, how come you wouldn't order built-in battery compartment again?

They extend below the boat floor. Although I haven't actually hung upside down off the front or back of boat to witness it, i'M about 90% sure they catch waves and increase drag on boat. Plus, my batteries wouldn't cleanly fit inside them with top latched - actually had a bunch of sparks when tried to close lid. They may have improved them by now.
