Dang it, I can't get that.
Great Preview. Congrats - now we just wait to see if it is popular. Reality TV on the water.
I've got it set to record just in case.
Yep. If people like it we make more. If people don't like it we don't make any more.
I can't get it either. Dang!!
I lucked in---I can get it also.
We lucked out. DISH does promos every month that are not part of our regular package. We get DIY for the month of May!
I may still have an old VCR down in my electronic recycling pile in the barn. If I do I'll try to make a copy.
Awesome Carmandoo!!
Also it will be on the great American country channel to about two weeks after DIY and I think GAC is on most cable line ups!
Wow...am I ever excited! Promo looks awesome!
Not sure I have either channel, but will have to take a look. I may be able to add them for another $50 a month (LOL), but we will have to see.
Nice job on the show and builds... Now if I can talk my wife into letting you come over and build something for me...
I give the show an A+
Nice to see something that can be very fun but without any sleeze.
Congratulations, Mabros!!!
I haven't got to see it yet, but am plying for a recording.
After having watched the trailer, I'm unsure if I know you better having met you guys many times, than what I'd learn from watching the show.
For example, Justin have never rubbed his nipples in my presence. And I feel as if that's a good boundary to have in place.
Now having seen him rub his nipples on the trailer....well....I'm conflicted.
Do I know him better now, having watched the trailer, or not????
Recorded it, but haven't watched it yet. Hopefully soon.
Justin is a notorious nippler...in fact, that's his Christian rap name: Notorious Nip
See, I never knew that about him.
I guess I've got to buy his CD now.
What's the tit, I mean title?
If it's an itch, ya scratch it!
I watched 2 episodes last night that I had recorded. Pretty good show Nate! I like how you go thru all of the steps with some fun mixed in. Makes it interesting, at least for me. Good job!!
P.S. My wife even enjoyed it!
Dang it how Did I just now see this post I've been wondering when that was gonna air..
Ain't it called Lake Life? I just typed in in my DVR search and nothing matched?
Bgk,
I will let y'all know when it gets scheduled to air again!
Sunil, you will really start to wonder when you see Justin in Yetti suit...
Also big thanks to all who watched and recorded!!
Nate,
The show was funny and instructive... I like how you'se guys think BIG!
When will you know if future episodes are desired?
Dan
I could know as soon as next week but probably a couple weeks.
I will def keep you posted!!
Recorded earlier and watched last night. Loved it… The man cave for your dad was unbelievable.. The other couple had an outside TV. How do they protect from the elements? And, were they solar also??
The tv was basically just for the show....
Next air date is June 7 at noon on DIY....
Thanks N8 I cannot forget to DVR this I will be in Florida for all that week..
N8,
I have added it to my DVR!! i look forward to it.
thanks
Dang Not on DIY app. I wanna watch so bad.
A guy at work with brought it up. I said I met them at Bruce Condellos house. Who? You know that big a Pond Boss thing I was raving about last summer when I went to Nebraska? Oh they said. I had to break out pictures. Lol!
It's funny how we have our own celebrities.
That's pretty cool John!!
Set your DVR's!
Just a reminder for those of you (like me) who missed it the first time, "Lake Life" will be aired this Saturday, June 7th at 11:00 AM CDT and also at 11:30 AM CDT on the DIY Network (Channel 230 if you have DirecTV).
Got our DVR set.
I told Woman not to get excited when Justin does his nip-rub.
Nate, we DVR'ed and watched the shows Saturday night. They were a hit with Momma, and she said would definitely put them in the rotation.
I will add that I'll seek your advice on cordless power tools. If they last for you guys, I'll bet they last for me.

I didn't get a chance to see the show but I do have a bunch of experience with cordless. Stay away from the Lithium Ion battery if you continuously use your tool. We run screws all day long and can drain faster then they can charge with two battery's. Heat builds up in the battery pack and will not fully charge. You really need to let the battery cool before use and if you are continuously running it can't be done with only two packs. Three maybe with one cooling in rotation.
Sent all out Lithium Ion stuff back (Lasted 4 months) and when to the Ni-MH XR battery's again.
Cheers Don.
Here is what we have figured out on cordless power tools... We use the rigid brand by Home Depot because they guarantee those products for a couple years. We just take the burned out batteries and chargers and stuff back to the store every year and they replace with new ones.
All the batteries and impacts and chargers and such are interchangeable which is nice!
Also each guy needs 2 drills and 4 batteries per day to keep everything cool (regardless of the brand). We are indeed very hard on tools and can tell you the best brands and deals for every type of hand power tool, various saws, etc...
Funny y'all mention that!
Thanks for that tip Nate! I have a cordless drill that needs to be replaced and there's a Home Depot about 1/2 hr away.
If there are others (besides me) that missed these first two episodes, they are airing again Sat, 14 June at 4:00 and 4:30 PM on DIY network, channels 454/1454 in case you have ATT UVerse.
Thanks for posting 2OLD!!
So far things are going great and we hope to have 10 more episodes lined up to film this summer! Could start filming again as soon as 2 weeks!!
Well dam. There seems do be some difference between the Canadian DIY and the US DIY network. Hoo hum...
Dang I will have wait and see if they air on GAC.
Well, supposedly America loved the show and Great American Country channel is taking it from DIY and we start filming July 1st for the next 4 months. Still doesnt feel real, but been having meetings with big corporations like John Deere and Kubota and Chevy and Ridgid, etc For a guy like me thats the coolest thing ever...
So the new format for the show is 50% lifestyle and 50% projects. Most everything is lined up to do for this summer, to incorporate into our existing schedule and committments, but I am planning on hitting up the Pond Boss for a texas visit for sure to set the stage for future episodes!
GAC as a channel is being revamped and they are plannin for our show to be their main show. So now its time to rock n roll and get er done!
Congratulations Nate & Company. They used to say that James Brown was the "Hardest working man in Show Business". Now we know it is Nate Herman.
Now I gotta make sure I got GAC!
Great news. Can't wait...
WHOHOOO!!!!!!!! I get GAC!! Channel 70 on Mediacom
Congrats! What a dream come true!
Funny thing my 7 year old son says , "Dad... i know you are a builder and all, but can you call THEM to build us a real dock?..."
Kid has good taste.
