Call Greg Grimes in Ball Ground, GA.

This is not to take away business from Greg, but do you really need an electrofishing study?

Our good Pond Boss friend Bill Cody has taught a lot of us about using nothing more than a plain line, hook, worm, and a notebook.

A seine survey can tell you even a lot more about what is in your pond.

Get the survey. It's very cool

Make sure your water alkalinity is 20 ppm+ then get a survey. Low alkalinity can adversely impact the efficacy of electrofishing due to low water conductivity. In plain English, the electricity may not be strong enough to cause all your fish to float so you only see the fish that happened to be relatively close to the electrodes as the boat passed over.

We just finished analyzing over a dozen lakes at Fort Gordon, just across the state line from Aiken. We will be going right past Aiken on our fall route to Orangeburg, SC. Also I bet Wade Bales might come up from lower coastal plain if want another proposal.

Simply flip me an email greg@lakework.com and I can flip you the proposal. Piggyback while in route to other lakes out that way will save you on travel. These fuel prices are killing us. We hit over 100 lakes this spring and have another 30 on order once it cools in the fall point being we go all over and with planning can save clients travel charges that add up.

Conductivity should be good in your area but not a bad idea to mail a water sample to check.

Ken a seine haul by Bill Cody versus avg. joe is a big difference. Most will not learn the information they need with a seine haul. Also if done by professional it is not just the electrofishing but the report that educates the pond owner to a much higher level. I will mention this on talk at the conference. You can learn quite a bit from catch records, seine haul etc but you better be a avid PondBossers to grasp it all.
