i saw a boat in a pond in columbus georgia yesterday. it appeared to have tracks on the bottom that was propelling it. it also had a rake or set of forks on the front. he had piles of weeds all around the shore where he had been piling it up. looks like he launched the boat on land from a flatbed tilt trailer. truck had some company logo on the door. i think it was ILM, looked like it had industrial lake management. looked cool as crap.

sorry about no pic, i actually was trying. it was raining and it must have been shift changing time in the industrial park, because there was toooo much traffic.

i have googled everything i can think of and cant find a pic of anything close.

it appeared to be about 18' long or so, had a small rigid looking canopy(forward facing) for the guy to stay out of the rain.

the neat thing to me was the track system propelling him in the water.

That's likely one of Lanny McIlvain's rigs. The letters you saw on the side of the "MARSH-BUGGY" were probably "MEI". Lanny's based out of Winnie, TX, and does all types of wetland/aquatic work (mechanic & some chemical).

i am 99% sure that it was ILM on the truck door.

After watching numerous videos on the unit i am convinced now that it was a truxor. looks like they make attachments to do about anything.

You may be correct. I just thought "ILM" and "MEI" look a lot alike, in a dyslexic sort of way. crazy
Lanny @ MEI operates a wide assortment of Swamp-Buggy contraptions.

Yes Scott that is ILM. They actually wanted to buy out my lake management divison. We were very close but could not come to terms. Since then they hired another consultant (Bob you know him well) and mass emailed several of my clients. Well in true southern accent "I aint Skeered". They are here and competetion is good. In fact here is a link to the boat you are refferring too. Several you tub videos. http://www.lakesmanagement.com/index.cfm?category=25

sorry greg, didnt realize there was bad blood there. i just hadnt seen or read about such a boat and many folks here have talked about the need for that type work.

no bad blood the owner Ketih Gray is a really nice guy. We are amping up marketing efforts to not lose our market share. It was surprising to see them all the way down in Columbus so thanks for sharing.

Here is a small POND WEED REMOVAL that I am a partner in (Lusk removed the link) together with ( And this one...) and we offer a service and we offer almost like a franchise (seriously not trying to market here - just thought that if fit this thread nicely)
If you watch the youtube video you will see that this thing has a cutting attachment that can cut anything IN the pond or AROUND the ponds edges.
I will be curious of your thoughts on this.

Sorry...I don't allow solicitations from those I don't yet know. Drop me an email and let's discuss...thanks, Bob Lusk, owner.
