Well folks, I got good news and I got bad news. The bad news...our great friend Ray Scott has been ordered to house arrest by his doctor. Seems Ray has a lingering bug that's been with him almost a month and it's on the verge of pnuemonia. Doctor has ordered him home for at least two weeks.
I got an email from his right hand man, Jim Kientz, last evening with the news.

As you probably know, next Monday is Monday Night Live on RFD-TV, about pond management and feeding fish. It was to be Ray, Mark Griffin and I. Ray had to cancel.

So, I picked up the phone and called Mark Griffin to let him know. Silence. Hmmm....what to do? Mark asked about Bruce, since Bruce is a landowner, feeds fish, grows giant bluegill and has studied Aquamax in depth. Made good sense to me.

So, I hung up from Mark and called Bruce to see if he was available. He thought he could juggle his schedule and pull it off.

Just minutes ago, Bruce confirmed. He will be the third guy on our panel, live from Nashville, Tennessee.

Tune in to RFD-TV Monday night at 7 pm Central time. I'll post the phone number for those of you who wish to call in. (As soon as I find it.)

I'm sorry to hear about Ray, but congrats Bruce!!!

I already wore that shirt out! It's had so much worm poop on it that it's become almost unrecognizable. I wore it every time I went out fishing for about six months.

As I indicated in the other post, so that as many people get to record it as possible: If you have DirecTV and have TIVOed this event you should recheck to see if it is still scheduled for recording. Originally the listing just called it "Special" and I set it up. I just checked and the listing has been revised to "Purina Mills". The description says "Building better animals with the proper fish feed (call in)". If you don't set it up again it won't record.

General questions about pond management would be good. Pond Building, feeding fish, aerations, feeding fish, bass+bluegill ponds, feeding fish, smallmouth, aquatic plants, healthy water, feeding fish...that sort of thing.

Bruce - Don't wear your fushia nail polish on the show; some will get the wrong impression.

Let us know how much makeup they make you wear on tv. I always remembered when I was a young child, they would make everyone, including the boys wear lipstick in the plays.

No one needs to worry about this. I happen to know a small store in Texas where you can procure quality pink hats at affordable prices. You are on your own for the fuscia nail polish.

I would venomously refute the insinuation that people with pink hats and fuscia nail polish were originating from California however even I know better than to dispute what is probably a well documented fact.

Wish I had known about the hat. I went to the Stock Show yesterday and they had some that were just darling. They fairly screamed: BRUCE, BRUCE, BRUCE.

I knew I should have purchased that pink hat at the time. After taking the photo I could have aquired Bruce's autograph on it. Then I could have secreted it away in a hermetically sealed container until after Bruce's Pond Boss Cover photo and then his television debut. This would have gone for hundreds or even thousands to the right collector. Sheesh, another opportunity passes me by.

I hazard to guess what the pink hat, autographed by Bruce, would bring at the next PB Conference's silent auction.
